How to Green Clean Your Toilet

Toilet and oven cleaning used to be my only excuses not to switch to natural cleaner.

I have asked a lot of my friends and people I know about what they use to clean their toilets and their ovens. I get exactly the same answers from around 98% of people - it’s bleach for toilet and commercial oven cleaner.

By now, you probably know that I am obsessed with natural cleaning.

When I first started moving to a non-toxic life style, toilet and oven were my biggest problems. I didn’t know how to clean them effectively without using strong chemicals.

I have good news for you. YOU CAN CLEAN YOUR TOILET AND YOUR OVEN WITHOUT TOXIC FUMES!

It’s super easy to do when you have non toxic plant based Castile soap or even better doTERRA On Guard cleaner concentrate which is your natural antimicrobial, antibacterial cleaner, and it’s safe for your septic tank too.

Here is what I do:

First

I add a squirt of On Guard Cleaner Concentrate (or the Castile soap and tea tree essential oil) into a toilet bowl and scrub it well to replace a toilet duck.  This gentle yet effective cleaner is my secret weapon when it comes to cleaning my home. I find my toilet needs cleaned less often than before when I used commercial toilet cleaner.

Second

I place 1⁄2 cup baking soda into a toilet bowl, add 1 cup of white vinegar and 3 drops of tea tree essential oil and allow to it fizz. Leave for 10 minutes to work its magic. Leave the toilet brush in as well for a deep clean, then scrub and flush.

PS. the second method is only used when needed.
